Position Title:
Youth & Young Adult MinisterGethsemane Missionary
Baptist Church is seeking a dedicated Youth and Young Adult Minister to help
the pastor implement the overall mission of the church. The ideal candidate must have experience
working closely with a pastor and be able to provide strong reference(s) from
pastor(s). The candidate must possess
initiative and the ability to be productive with minimal supervision. He must be a team player, hard working, and
creative and have a genuine passion for the spiritual development of youth and
young adults. He must also have
excellent communication and interpersonal skills, be able to work with the
pastor, staff, youth and young adult ministry volunteers.
Responsibilities
will include:
- Oversee
the development of outreach and discipleship efforts geared towards youth (ages
17 & under) and young adults (ages 18-35).
- Oversee,
develop and grow Youth and Young Adult Ministries.
- Equip
youth & young adults in developing/strengthening their faith and growing toward
mature Christian adulthood.
- Ability
to recruit, train, inspire and supervise volunteers.
Education:
- Bachelor’s
or Seminary degree preferred
- Minimum
2 years experience working with youth and/or young adults
